Very low key, not for people who expect fancy anything. We had loads of fun with the locals. If you are expecting exquisite drinks and lovely surroundings, steer clear! If you are ok with nicotine stained everything and are cool with a cold beer, this is your place! We like local dives, need I say more?
Cash only so don’t forget to bring some along. Definitely a different vibe than the bars that are right nearby on South Howard. But I love thst it’s got a small local feel. If I remember correctly people can smoke inside so be prepared for that if it isn’t your thing
Very cool spot. Cash only!!! Quarter coin pool! Darts! I️ simply love this place for the vibe and no pressure from the atmosphere here. Location is amazing too. If you don’t want to go to busy fancy joint - this place is for you!
Best bar for locals to enjoy a reasonably priced beer and share conversation.
Randomly ended up here when I was in town one night and had a blast.
Favorite little cheaper dive in Tampa
Good dive, cheap pool, no liquor and CASH only!
Tampa staple. I did see some interesting behavior though. However, I don't think it's fair to attribute the behavior to the Tiny Tap. Those folks warmed up elsewhere I'm sure.
It's a disgusting, smoke-filled hole in the wall. It does have two pool tables. Bathroom is atrocious. Some dive bars have charm, but this isn't one of them.
A true south Tampa favorite. I highly doubt they even care about google reviews. It's one of those bars where millionaires, homeless people and everyone in between grab a drink and disappear into their thoughts.
Nothing special. Good place to get away.
The most divey dive bar this side of the Mississippi, and I love it. Only place on South Howard (SoHo) without cover on Gasparilla. Very smokey.
Best hole in wall bar in South Tampa
Total Dive! Love it! Don't expect more than your corner bar but you will feel at home 👍
Had an absolute blast here this winter. Our bartender was great and this is a cozy little place. Would love to have a bar like this in our neighborhood back home.
If you don't know the Tiny Tap you probably won't like it! If you are a regular, you love it! Let me know if they ever found Ian's tooth...
Very friendly bunch, will for sure be going back
Cash only. It is a perfect dive I love it!!!
Best dive bar. Only beer. Been in Tampa for ever.
OMG!!! I can't believe this hole-in-the-wall is still there!! I used to shoot pool there in the early 80's. It was a great neighborhood bar then. Judging by the reviews, it still is. Good job!!
A Tampa institution. A must have experience.
Best Dive Bar in Tampa, Mike the Bartender is super Freaking cool, go check this place out!!
It's Tiny. It has beer on tap. It's not too expensive and the staff and patrons were friendly. Apparently the place has some history, definitely worth checking out...
If you like dive bars (and trust me, I love dive bars) this is a must visit when you're in the Tampa - St. Pete area. This place has personality plus, and damn tasty cold beer.
Iconic local establishment with GOOD pool tables end even one foosball. What year is it? I LOVE this place
If Americana had a birthplace this is it. The best.
A unique experience
Perfect dive bar
A dive bar that has the ability to make anyone feel at home. A true gem in the city with a great staff of friendly and fun bartenders. Nobody putting on a facade here. Come as you are, grab a beer (or Whiteclaw!), and be nice. No strangers here, just friends you haven't met yet.
If your too good for this place we won't get along lol
Nice dive, no liquor though. Refreshing for soho
Oldest bar in Tampa that's still in the same building. Great place to hang just off of Howard. Excellent prices on Tuesday's!
Definitely a dive bar and it's very smoky so we didn't stay long. There are a variety of games though.
Great beer spot no B.S.
Nice low profile bar. 2 refelted pool tables ... foosball. A golf video game and electronic dart board. If you dont mind a little smoke.
Simple review "Tiny Tap Tavern" has been and will always be a "come as you are" bar. The magic of this establishment resides in the mix between community of patrons and our bartenders. Come one and all with an open mind and be ready to enjoy what tiny tap is. Great services, and all walks of life come to take a load off the long work week. Enjoy...
It was ok, it’s a dive bar but very friendly staff. The dart board ( which is why we went) was annoying because we lost half our turns due to an error “ stuck dart” that was a bummer. I would of given 4 stars had the dart board been up to par. It’s smoky in there that is why another star was taken off. Overall we had a good time. Met some cool people, some young females who can play pool like no other! That was awesome!!
Went here on a Thursday late morning while waiting on friends to land at the airport. Casey and his staff were extremely hospitable and very friendly to talk to. Jai Alai on draft was cold and a fair price. The regulars were all fun people to talk to. The staff gave us tips about where to go during the weekend. My bachelor party had a great time here drinking and playing pool while waiting for the rest of our crew to arrive! Thanks Casey!
Great friendly bar
Great little place, Tampa landmark
Local legend. World famous or "infamous" tiny tap tavern! Great local dive bar. Friendly atmosphere with cheap drink prices!!Still only 25 cents for a game of pool, can also get a good game of foosball
Best beer bar in Tampa. Good people, good prices, fun atmosphere. 50¢ pool tables that have actually been re-felted.
One of my all-time favorite places on Earth.
Not enough superlatives to say about this place.. great bartenders!!!! Cheapest beer downtown, unless from a gas station, which it used to be lol
Great local dive bar
Great selection of beer and wine. Cheap pool games and smoking permited.
The ladies bathroom is awesome!
If you enjoy the eccentricities of a staple dive bar, this the place!
25 cent pool, 2.50 PBR's, and a great crowd. You couldn't ask for more from a dive bar!
So I was in the area and decided to look up local places to have a couple drinks. Found this little out of the way place and decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed. Fair prices, two pool tables, up to date juke box, big screen TV playing sports or whatever else the bar tender wants it to be on, just a nice relaxing place to chill out. Most of the other people are really friendly, and it doesn't close til 3 AM (which coming from where I live where everything closes at 2 AM and starts kicking you out at 1:30 AM that was big). If I could sneak in a sixth star into the scale of likes I would! If Mike is bar tending, tell him you found the place on Google and that Kevin sent you.
